Chicago’s Pride Fest occurs from June 22-23 and is an exciting two-day street festival. Held the weekend before the Chicago Pride Parade, we expect over 100,000 people to attend! Celebrate LGBTQ life, culture and community and celebrate the milestone of the 50th anniversary of Stonewall. The festival features live music over 3 stages, food, drink, crafts and merchant vendors. The festival is easily accessible via the CTA Red Line Addison station at historic Wrigley Field. Chicago Pride Fest benefits the Northalsted Business Alliance. A $10 suggested donation for all age groups.
Pride in the Park
Enjoy the first ever Pride in the Park event in Grant Park on Saturday June 29th. Located at 280 S. Columbus Drive, this new festival occurs the day before the official Pride Parade. Start at the Petrillo ban shell, just 5 blocks walk from the hotel. Enjoy top music performers, an eclectic mix of food and a wide array of arts and craft vendors. This event benefits the Center on Halsted and features the Kimptons of Chicago as an exclusive sponsor.
The culmination and conclusion of Chicago’s Pride month is the official Parade. Chicago's Pride Parade is one of the largest, by attendance, in the world with over 1M attendees. The first parade was organized in June 1970 as a march from Washington Square to the Water Tower. The parade starts at 12 Noon - rain or shine - at the corner of Broadway and Montrose. The parade will then travel the 21-block parade route south on Broadway; then south on Halsted; then east on Belmont; then south on Broadway; then east on Diversey to Cannon Drive. We recommend taking the L!
